☆ 奈良・春日大社 「中元・万燈籠」 Nara Kasuga Shrine " Millions of Lanterns"

８月１５日、この暑い中、少しオーバーだが、一大決心。家から徒歩で春日大社に向かった。

昨日と今日は、春日大社の「万燈籠」の行事があり、沢山の参拝客でにぎわった。

春日大社の万燈籠は、約８００年の昔から行われてきた行事で、境内にある３０００基の燈籠

は、昔から現在に至るまで藤原氏をはじめ、広く一般国民から奉納されたものである。

これだけ多くの燈籠を毎晩、点灯するのは、相当大変な作業に違いなかったろう。

近年は年２回、２月の節分と８月のお盆の１４日、１５日時期に行われるようになったようだ。

実に神秘的な光景である。生まれて初めて見る幻想的な光景に酔ってしまったようだ。

２時間半かけて散歩と撮影を楽しんだ。

 

In the night of August 15, I made a big decision in this hot night and headed for Kasuga Shrine in Nara from my house on foot.  Because, there was an event of “ Millions of Lanterns” yesterday and today. and crowded with many worshipers there.I hear that there are approx. 3,000 lanterns in the Shrine and this event has been done for about 800 years.   The lanterns of the Shrine were donated by the Fujiwara and widely by the public until now.
It should be worth a lot of works to light up so many lanterns every night.Nowadays, it will be taken place only twice a year for February and August.
Oh, it is really a mystical sight and drunk in a fantastic spectacle for the first time in my life.
I enjoyed taking walks more than two and half hours there.
